OBJECTIVE:
Adjectives (words that describe) are the key to descriptive writing. They can make the words they modify pop off the page. Creating descriptive sentences on piclits.com in DRAG-N-DROP mode is a great way to practice learning adjectives in the word bank and choosing the right adjective to make your descriptive sentence memorable.
Adjectives often come before the word they modify.
Example: the vibrant (adjective) lemon.
But adjectives can also follow verbs, but they modify the subject.
Example: The colors in the painting are vibrant (adjective).
Vibrant modifies the subject colors.
MODEL SENTENCE:
A wild goose never laid a tame egg.
A wild (adjective) goose never laid a tame (adjective) egg.

INCORRECT AND CORRECT:
Incorrect: Success (adjective) is public; failure (adjective) is private.
