Lesson Plan For Types of PIC-LITS: Dialogue Level 1

OBJECTIVE:
Writing dialogue is a fun way to learn how to create a conversation that is suggested by a photograph on piclits.com. This will allow you to think creatively about an imagined conversation that helps engage the viewer of the photograph and helps them see the photograph in a new way.

Your dialogue should:

  • indicate who is speaking
  • use quotation tags: “ ,” he yelled. (samples are listed below)
  • use a variety of quotation tags
  • develop the personalities of the characters
  • use language that is heard in conversations
  • develop and resolve the conflict or leave it unresolved on purpose
