PICLITS.COM is an e-learning website that utilizes photography and keywords to improve literacy skills via writing. It is a free teaching tool and student learning platform. With an emphasis on interactive (DOING ) and visual learning, the user is engaged, the teacher/educator/parent are guides, and the improvement of LITERACY skills is enhanced.
A PIC-LIT is a combination of words placed on an image that not only connects with the photograph but also adds meaning to the photograph. It can be a caption, a sentence, a story, a paragraph, a poem, a quotation, and more. You can create a PIC-LIT using DRAG-N-DROP (keywords) or in FREESTYLE (typing your own words).
